Narcos Family Band - Pink Blues (album review)

Narcos Family Band
Pink Blues

What can I say about Narcos Family Band's Pink Blues? It reminds me of a weird mix of Henry Rollins, psychedelia, and copious pot smoking. It's a mishmash of punk rock with 60s rock; it's trippy. So much trippy that I listened to it several times. It's infectious. Pink Blues only has four songs but each one is a wee capsule of goodness. There is so much happening in each song you think your head is going to explode. It's definitely a turn on, tune in, and drop out vibe. It's the kitchen sink approach that keeps me listening. The saxophone solo over punk guitar chords is a treat. The fact that you can dance to the tracks as well as headbang. An EP you can frug to. Philly is known for it's music scene and Narcos Family Band is all Philly all the time. They are definitely a band to check out.
